TWINK-le Little Star is a devised performance art piece that challenges the restrictive expectations placed upon Queer individuals, particularly those with curvy / plus sized bodies.
This piece intends to question why plus sized bodies are often excluded from Queer spaces, and highlights the importance of celebrating intersectionality in the Queer community.
TWINK-le Little Star centres a black curvy body and their chase to experience a sense of liberation, after feeling trtapped for so long. Furthermore, it also highlights how black and curvy bodies are often forced to perform at the pleasure of everyone else except themselves.
